In recent years watching poker on TV has become quite the popular past time for many people throughout the world, especially casino players. There is something very exciting about know what everyone at the table is holding and trying to predict what their next move may be. Not to mention that there is also usually millions of dollars at stake.

There are a few things that make TV poker a little more exciting than watching live games. Often times the hands with minimum action are not shown at all. There isn’t always much to see in a poker game. A lot of the time everyone will fold to the big blind and the game will continue to the next hand. Since broadcasters know that this type of action will not increase the ratings, the hands are simply edited out of the game and only the exciting hands are televised. This is why most times you won’t see a live poker game on TV.

Poker on TV is probably one of the biggest reasons that Texas Hold’em has become such a mainstream popular game. People around the world watch and literally picture themselves in the shoes of the players that are taking home the big bucks.

Because most poker players are regular people like you and me interested in casino games, it is really easy to envision yourself sitting up there, finding out that you are holding the absolute best poker hand and becoming an instant millionaire.

The image most commonly associated with poker is that of an old western style saloon, with thick cigar smoke filling the air making the dense atmosphere even less breathable. On the table beside the ever present six shots (brought probably to make sure nobody does any cheating) are half empty glasses of bourbon and of course the indispensable poker cards.

This image has changed a lot over the years. Poker has moved to casinos and international championships, where the place of the six-shot shooters was taken by surveillance cameras. Of course, living in the digital era, where virtually anything can be done and is done online poker does not escape the trend either.

The online poker industry is booming. The first shy steps taken on the path of online poker playing were nothing compared the industry that exists today. Players can participate in online championships wining real money, and lots of it. As the pots get fatter with every day passing, the quality of players improves too, and the game itself is transforming.

Considering what the online poker industry has become, we can state that we have truly come a very long way from those old saloons filled with some.

The only question is: has poker become any better?

Freedom Tower in New York, which is rising 130 miles northeast of
Atlantic City on the site of the former World Trade Center in lower
Manhattan, was the first major application in the Northeastern United States
using iCrete concrete mixes. During the design phase of Freedom Tower, the
building’s engineers required concrete used in construction of the project to
achieve a record-breaking 14,000 pounds per square inch (PSI) of compressive
strength.

Since the first pour at Freedom Tower in October 2007, iCrete mixes have
been used at more than 30 construction locations in the Greater New York
tri-state area alone and is now being poured by Atlantic County Concrete
at the Revel casino Resort site. Revel anticipates that the 20-acre
